Prayer Prompts // Copies of prayer prompts are available to guide you in your prayer time for our church. These prompts are from the book Autopsy of a Deceased Church.

MASS CHRISTMAS CHOIR

The Wonder and Glory

Worship Event: December 5 // Rehearsals begin September 12

  • 6pm for choir rehearsals
  • 3pm for instrumental rehearsal

This year, in correlation with the CCBA, FBC will be hosting a mass Christmas Choir featuring the music from “The Wonder and Glory.” A one-of-a-kind Christmas celebration  worship service that involves people of all ages in the telling of the birth of Jesus Christ through the combination of scripture, fresh arrangements of best-loved carols, incredible new congregational worship songs, and dynamic anthems.

Any choir members PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE are encouraged to participate in this event.

We are looking for
  • Children’s Choir members
  • Adult Choir members
  • Instrumentalists!

Practices will start September 12th at 6pm for choir rehearsals and 3pm for instrumental rehearsal. These will be held at Edgewood Baptist Church. Please see the office or James Arcuri for more information.

GROBER-PARRISH AND FRIENDS Women on Missions (WMU)

All ladies are invited on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 10am, Parlor.  Dr. Larry Baker, former missionary and Christian County Baptist Association Director of Missions, will be our guest speaker.

Mission projects for October: 

• Put together zip lock bags for Global Hunger offering

• Buy tickets for the Chili Supper to support the Ed Moseley’s Scholarship Fundraiser.

 

GLOBAL HUNGER SUNDAY - October 10 // https://www.globalhungerrelief.org/


KBC and SBC Global Hunger Relief Fund helped to feed families who had no food during the COVID pandemic (still going on). 100% goes to the fund.

  • Zip Lock bags will be handed out on Sunday, October 10th for your offering. Please give and place your gift in the bean pot located in the foyer.

 



ED MOSELEY SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER – CHILI SUPPER

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 15 // 5:30-8:30pm, CCBA, 905 North Drive CCBA WMU is cooking up a chili supper - eat in or take out!

  • Menu: Chili, Pimento Cheese Sandwich or Hot Dog, Fritos, Brownie and Drink.

Tickets available in church office. Adults: $10 / Child: $5 up to 6yrs.) Deadline is October 10th. Get them early!! Four young people received a scholarship this year.

 

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

You can pack a box, donate items towards boxes or donate towards the postage ($9 per box), please see display in foyer hallway.
Deadline for all items is Sunday, November 7. [September: toiletries]

Volunteers: If you are interested in helping with the yard sale from October 25-30, volunteers greatly welcomed!

  • Monday, October 25 we need extra hands to set up tables in the gym. If you can help, let us know and we will let you know what time set up will begin.
